Erasmus + exchange project for master students in mathematics education and employees from the mathematics and the sciences departments (Western Norway University of Applied Sciences and University of Pristina, Kosovo)

Project summary

The mobility project between the University of Pristina, Kosovo and Western Norway University of Applied Sciences will focus on the exchange of staff from both institutions, and the exchange of master students from the University of Pristina to HVL. Both HVL and University of Pristina offer Teacher Education programs in Mathematics and in Natural Sciences. 

This is a first step in exchanging experience as partners, and finding ways of further collaborating in teaching and research. There will be exchange of staf in Autumn 2019 (2 colleagues from Kosovo), in Spring 2020 (3 colleagues from Norway), and again 2 colleagues from Kosovo in Autumn 2020 and 2 colleagues from Norway in Spring 2021. During these exchanges, the staf will be engaged in giving lectures and seminars for both teachers and students at both institutions, in meetings with the staf to discuss common interests in research, as well as in other forms of activities that are specific for the teacher education (such as school visits etc.). The Kosovo students will be taking a course in Mathematics Education at HVL, together with the Norwegian master students.
