Course description for academic year 2020/2021

Contents and structure

The course covers central themes concerning the organization and leadership of projects, as well as methods and techniques for analysis and management. The academic knowledge is founded on a basic understanding of what is involved in the management, organization, and leadership of projects. The course provides a uniform introduction to the ABCs of project work and is divided into 3 main modules.

Module 1 focuses on terminology, initialization and management, and the organization and leadership of projects. The module provides the student with a general understanding of what project work is, in order to be able to manage and participate in projects in a rational manner.

Module 2 covers the early evaluation of the project phases and systematically goes through the steps, from the idea phase through the concept definition/concept development, to the final project design.

Module 3 focuses on methods and techniques associated with profitability analysis, risk management, and network planning, as well as project software.

ØKB1112 Organizational Theory or real-world experience (a basic understanding of and insight into the field of organization and management)

Lectures, group work, as well as group-based brainstorming

Assessment

Written exam 60% 4 hours, possible digital exam

Project 40%

Project Leadership and Management, project exercise: all printed and written study aids may be used.
