Didactical modules
Part 2 of the development program for basic competence consists of several optional 20-hour didactical modules in subject didactics. The modules are both for participants in the study program in university pedagogy and other employees at HVL. If there is free capacity, external parties can also participate.

Modules on learning activities
- FD6 Teaching for student active learning | Spring 26The aim of the module is to problematize the meanings of student active learning as part of our teaching in higher education.
- FD27 Assessment and feedback literacy | Spring 24This module will discuss what assessment and feedback literacy mean and what teachers can do to make more meaningful and accurate assessments of learning and for learning.
- FD32 Group Learning | Autumn 24The module provides an introduction to research-based group learning and examples of how to facilitate group learning in your own teaching.
Modules on R&D-based teaching
- Development Project | Spring 26In this module, you will undertake a project that can support you in developing your own teaching practice.
- FD16 PhD supervision | Autumn 26The module provides and theoretical and practical introductions to ph.d supervision. One of the goals of the course is to share experiences and knowledge to strengthen the participants' own role as a supervisor.
- FD10 Specialization in Subject Didactics Module | Open EnrollmentThe module discusses how assessments of learning can become more meaningful and accurate.
- FD24 Feedback in academia | Spring 25In this module we will discuss what feedback is and how it can achieve better results.
- FD1 Pedagogical folder | Spring 26HSPED802 Optional module that provides an introduction to how your folder can be prepared so that it documents your pedagogical competence.
Modules on professional and educational innovation
- FD41 Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) – why and how! | Spring 26This module aims to equip academic staff with the foundational knowledge and practical strategies needed to initiate and implement a Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) practice within a higher education context.
- FD39 Research Methods in Higher Education (SoTL) | Spring 25This module explores various methods and study designs for researching teaching and learning in higher education.
- FD40 Research Supervision in an International Context | Spring 25This module examines research-based strategies for supervision of PhDs, postdocs and research groups.
