Field of work
SKILLS: *Public health *Nursing *Migration research *Digitalization
As a nurse and public health nurse with a doctoral degree in public health, my interest in public health engages me globally and locally.
My teaching and research focus on older people’s health from an ageing and migration perspective. In addition, I am interested in opportunities for academia to collaborate with practice. An exciting field of collaboration is the co-creation of education between academia and practice. Offering students opportunities for interesting learning is important. Therefore, my approach to teaching and research is grounded in general pedagogics and caring science, to allow the persons to use their resources.
I teach health promotion, person-centered care, and advanced clinical general nurses in community healthcare, and supervise master's and bachelor's students.
Norwegian Forum for Global Health Research (board member and substitute member 2019-2025) and EU COST Action-networks, "DIGINET Work inequalities in later life redefined by digitalization" (2022-), "EDEM Ethics in Dementia" (2023-), and "CUPID Understanding cancer prevention in people with intellectual disabilities" (2024-) engage me internationally.
