Field of work

I hold PhD in Nursing Education (Leadership and Management) from Saint Paul University Manila, formally recognized by NOKUT as equivalent to a Norwegian PhD (doktorgrad), with nursing qualifications approved in Norway through completion of national examinations at the University of South-Eastern Norway (Universitetet i Sørøst - Norge).

I am an experienced nurse academic and clinician with a sustained record in clinical nursing practice and nursing education, specializing in medical-surgical nursing, perioperative nursing and community health nursing. My work has been characterized by clinical leadership and supervision, including mentorship and guidance of both student nurses and professional nurses across academic and healthcare settings.

I bring more than ten years of combined experience in clinical practice, clinical instruction, and undergraduate nursing education, including international clinical instruction in a tertiary hospital, where I provided advanced clinical guidance and oversight to professional nursing staff, with a strong focus on competency development and patient safety.

My research focuses on clinical communication competency and language use in nursing education, particularly in second language context.
