Assistant Professor

Ingeborg Islaug Hatlevik Ørjasæter

Field of work

I am a trained nurse with further education in sexology and a master's degree in family therapy. I teach family therapy and relational work at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, with a special interest in sexuality and sexual health and work-integrated learning. I have work experience from hospitals, Save the Children, Blue Cross Norway and family counselling offices. Common to these experiences is a strong focus on relationships, prevention and direct cooperation between the individual, familiarity and technology can create change and health.

I am concerned with strengthening the connection between theory and practice, and with developing learning processes that promote reflection, ethics and professional judgement in encounters with people in different life situations.
