Field of work

I am currently a Ph.D.-student. My research focuses on historical linguistic, especially toponymy. My project aims to study the interaction between language and environment as expressed in place names in order to discuss how language users transform physical spaces into conceptual places with particular meaning. The concept of language ecology plays a central role in the project, that is, a holistic view on linguistic that encompasses both internal linguistic structures and external social aspects of language usage.
