Field of work
I am currently a PhD student. My research focuses on historical linguistics and toponymy. My project aims to study the interaction between language and environment expressed through place naming in different periods. The concept of language ecology plays a central role in the project, that is, a holistic view on linguistic phenomena that encompasses both internal linguistic structures and external social aspects of language usage.
Between 2025 and 2029, I represent Norway in NORNA (Nordic Cooperative Committee For Onomastic Research).
