Field of work

I completed my PhD in Technology and Innovation Management at Zhejiang University in China in 2021. Zhejiang University is a member of the prestigious C9-league of universities in China (equivalent to the Ivy League in the US), and is among the top 75 universities in the world according to the Times World University Rankings. My research there was focused on the innovation strategies of high-tech companies in China. I have a Master's Degree in Industrial Economics and Technology Management from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and I spent a year studying Chinese Mandarin at Tsinghua University in Beijing.

I am interested in how organisations collaborate and manage their resources across organisational boundaries to engage and succeed in innovation. I rely on theories of organisational behaviour in my work, but I have recently begun to engage with the regional development literature which operates with a more systemic perspective on innovation. Although my research centers on innovation, I aspire to contribute to related fields (internationalisation, comparative capitalism, sustainability) to ensure and develop a comprehensive understanding of how modern companies and business systems function.

My work has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals, including International Small Business Journal (ABS 3), and I have presented my research at various conferences in both the East and the West.
