Field of work
Simon Norheim Colclough is an Associate Professor in Innovation and Strategy at HVL Business School. He holds a master's degree in Industrial Economics and Technhology Management from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and received his PhD in Technology and Innovation Management from Zhejiang University. Zhejiang University is a member of the C9-league of universities in China (equivalent to the Ivy League in the US), and is among the top 50 universities in the world according to the Times World University Rankings. His research there was focused on the dynamic capabilities of high-tech small and medium-sized enterprises in China.
Presently, he is working on incorporating insights from economic geography into his research to delve deeper into how innovation systems evolve across time and space, focusing on uniting systemic and actor-based views of innovation. His work has been published in International Small Business Journal, Journal of Manufacturing Technology Management, and Studies in Higher Education, and presented at various international conferences.
