Course description for academic year 2019/2020

Contents and structure

Principles of measurements, different types of sensors, direct and indirect measurements, static and dynamic characteristics, measurement error, statistical analysis of errors, measurement bridge. Using Matlab as measurment collector. Introduction to PLCs.

Learning Outcome

Knowledge of: static and dynamic characteristics for measurement systems, techniques for error and noise reduction, reliability, measurement principles, accuracy for measurement systems.

Basic PLC knowledge. Basic knowledge about communication systems

Entry requirements

Basic knowledge in electric circuits and mathematics

Recommended previous knowledge

Electric and Electronic Circuits 1, Programming 1, or similar courses
