Ingvild Hernar

Field of work

Lecturer and supervisor at the master programme in clinical nursing (specialisation in diabetes nursing) and the PhD programme Health, Function and Participation. Currently on 40% leave.

I also work at Haukeland University Hospital (HUH) as a senior advisor at Centre for patient-reported outcomes data, Department of Research and Development. I have extensive experience as a diabetes nurse at the Department of Internal Medicine, HUH. I have also been a postdoctoral fellow at the same clinic from January 2022 to September 2025.

I represent the nursing field in the Regional Ethics Committee (REK Vest) (2025-2029). In addition, I am a member of the National Council for Diabetes (Directorate of Health).
