Are you a new student at HVL? During your studies, you will benefit greatly from the library. On this page we have gathered the most important things you need to know when you start.
Access and loans
As a student, you have access to the library's digital and physical collection. As a library card you can use your student card or student ID app. Read more about loan rules and loan times.
During our opening hours, the counter is staffed. You may access several of our campus libraries outside the opening hours as well. Use the student card as key.
Find the syllabus
You will find the reading list for your course in several places. When you have found your list, you can click on the title of the book / article to see if it is available in the library / online.
Find books and renew loans
In Oria you can search for books, articles, and other materials. It also tells you where the book or the article are available. By logging in to Oria, you can see what you have borrowed, reserved, and ordered, as well as renew your loans.
Find on the shelf
Are you wondering how to find your way around the library? This video will guide you (only in Norwegian). There you can also learn how to use our lending machines.
Copier / printer
As a student, you can copy and print at any library. On IT's print pages, you can read more about how to do this. You will also learn how find information about how you can print from your own computer.
