Project summary

The objective of the EMDM project was to develop and accredit a joint international Master’s programme in health equity, Master in Health Equity, in collaboration with Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL), Arcada University of Applied Sciences, the University of Zaragoza (Unizar), and Humanity & Inclusion. Throughout the project period, a solid academic and administrative foundation was established for a future EMJM application, with particular emphasis on joint quality assurance, mobility structures, and labour market relevance. The partners developed an innovative and interdisciplinary programme addressing global challenges related to health, justice, and sustainability. The work included the development of learning outcomes, pedagogical innovation, mobility between institutions, and collaboration on practice placements, as well as the creation of joint procedures for governance, assessment, admission, and certification. The result was a fully developed joint Master’s programme that meets international standards and is ready for submission as an Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM) application in February 2026.
