Student counselling in Health and Social Sciences

Our student counselling service can help you when it comes to questions about admission, your studies, individual education plans, exams, exchange programmes and various other types of guidance you may need while you are studying with us.

You can also find help with transferring any courses you have taken at other academic institutions, including grades and certificates you have already achieved.

  • Facilitation
    If you need any assistance or facilitation during your time as a student, we opt to give you guidance and support in such matters.
  • Exams and assignments
    Information on assessment, exams, grading and transcript of records.
  • Leave of absence
    If you are unable to continue your studies for a period of time, you cannot take an exam, or you would like to pause your studies, you can apply for a leave of absence.
  • Go abroad with HVL
    Are you ready for a semester abroad? This page provide information you need to take the first steps towards an exchange semester abroad.
  • Diplomas and transcripts of records
    You can order your Transcripts of Records on StudentWeb and have it sent to your home address within days.
  • Accreditation and exemptions
    Do you have previous education that you would like to integrate into your course of study at HVL?
  • Mentor from NAV
    If you are receiving training in ordinary education through NAV, you may have the right to a Peer mentor financially supported by NAV.
  • Transferring
    Once a year admissions for transfer are open to both external and internal applicants.
  • Admissions
    When you are granted admission to a programme of study, you will be admitted for the standard duration of the programme.
