
Profession, Organisation and Politics
The group researches policies, governance, expert knowledge, organization, and management within education and the welfare state, examining implications for professionalization, labor division, and user relations.
The research is multidisciplinary and draws on a broad range of theoretical approaches, applying historical, comparative, and contemporary perspectives. The researchers’ empirical focus is primarily on education and upbringing, but also on intersections with other societal fields, such as family policy, public health, and health services.
The research can be summarized in the following themes:
- Policy, governance, and implementation of education policy
- Teacher professions and professionalization
- Didactics of social studies
- Politics and didactics in teacher education
- Leadership, organization, and division of labour in early childhood education, schools, and higher education
- Inclusion- and marginalization processes in education and welfare
