
Learning, physical education and outdoor life
The research group "Learning, physical education and outdoor life" works with various issues related to outdoor life and physical education.
The members of the research group are working to investigate different didactic practices in higher education, such as the following topics:
- Relations in Higher Education
- Students' learning and formation
- Embodied, social and emotional knowledge
- Physical education and social learning in the practice school, in teaching on campus and in various natural environments
Furthermore, movement cultures and experiences that people create and are created by in school and everyday life, by involving phenomenological, sociocultural and psychological perspectives in the research.
Before "Outdoor life", the experience and quality of life in nature walking is examined as a case, with the use of digital apps as the establishment of "new" hiking habits. Furthermore, safety in traffic is out, as well as avalanche research. Ecocriticism, ecophilosophy are involved as perspectives in the research.
