Exchange programmes

We would like to welcome students from partner universities to a study period at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL). We can offer semester programmes and a wide range of courses.

The orientation days are useful for exchange students . The first part of the orientation days will be an online event on Zoom on June 22nd 2023.

  • How to nominate
    Partners must nominate students in our online nomination system. See more information about application and fact sheet here.
  • How to apply
    You have to be nominated by your home university before you can apply for admission.
  • Requirements
    To be eligible for admission as an exchange student there must be an exchange agreement between your university and one of the partners in HVL.

The deadlines for applying to HVL are:

15 April for the autumn semester (August - December)
15 October for the spring semester (January - June)

Note! You have to be nominated by your home university in order to apply for exchange through our online system. HVL will not accept students that are not from one of our partner universities (Freemovers)
