Arbeids- og kompetanseområde

My PhD project research drivers and barriers for cross-industry innovation in Western Norway, and considers for example how oil and gas firms may organise their competence to move into different (often related) industries. To do so, firms’ organisational capabilities are studied, as well as innovation performance and firm growth. The study utilises both qualitative and quantitative research tool to better determine how firms innovate across industries and their success with such endeavours.

I have an academic background in physics and innovation studies, coupled with work experience as a field engineer in oil service.
