Frode works mainly with composition, music theory and performance. He is also a bass-teacher. He holds a master in music performance from Agder University and is an active musician. He takes part in both the WASO project and IMTE project. His study on improvisation focuses on how improvisation can be used as a mediating tool for the integration of performance and music theory. He is also initiating the project DICE-JAM which is exploring possibillities in online music collaboration.
