UCA koordinerer Artemis alliansen. Universitetet har 36.000 studenter, og holder til i byen Clermont-Ferrand i Massif Central regionen, midt i landet. Fusjonerte i 2017 (tidligere Université Blaise Pascal og Université d'Auvergne).
