Arbeids- og kompetanseområde
Mitt vitenskapelige standbein er den teoretiske fysikken med mangfoldig bruk av astrofysikk, fra plasmafysikk til faststoffysikk. I min promosjon undersøkte jeg f.eks. kjernereaksjoner i stjerners indre. Deretter arbeidet jeg med diagnostiske metoder for høyenergetiske plasmaer, hvordan de opptrer ved bestemte betingelser, slik som ved treghetsfusjonen. I de siste årene har jeg fremfor alt befattet meg med datadrevet energisystemanalyse og FAIR data. Ved samtlige anvendelser er det nødvendig med en forståelse for de dynamiske egenskapene til komplekse systemer med mange komponenter. Utviklingen av dataprogrammer, de stokastiske dataevalueringene og bruken av forskjellige matematiske løsningsmetoder hører med til mitt analyseverktøy.
