Prosjektsamandrag

In Norway, as the rest of the world, the number of elderly is rising. Thus, the advancing age of the population has led to a higher number of hip fractures and increasing challenge for clinicians, including physiotherapists, and the health care services Accordingly, there is a need to develop robust, targeted preventive strategies, and to optimize treatment and rehabilitation. In my masterpaper I seek to conduct a cross-sectional study investigating the relationship between fat free body mass, muscular strength and physical performance in older people hospitalized after hip fracture surgery.
