Arbeids- og kompetanseområde

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences and a member of the HVL Robotics research group. My work covers core areas of AI, including machine learning, deep neural networks, computer vision, and the design and curation of representative datasets for real-world applications.

My current work combine hyperspectral and multispectral imaging with machine learning and deep learning for precision agriculture, focusing on raspberry yield prediction, fruit quality assessment, and early detection of diseases and pests in the FutuRaPS Project.

My experience spans both academia and industry, and includes practical AI solutions for precision agriculture (e.g. crop health assessment, yeild estimation), embedded vision robotic systems, environmental monitoring and sustainability, plastic recycling system, vision-based monitoring of underground sewer systems, Herøysund bridge data analysis for SHM, and conceptual multimodal AI framework for hydrogen early leakage detection.

I completed my PhD in AI and computer vision at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, funded by the SPRING Horizon 2020 Project and supported by the UTFORSK PEERS Project, and I have teaching and supervision experience at bachelor’s and master’s levels, currently assisting student projects that combine machine learning and spectral imaging.
