Jeg er professor i anvendt matematikk. Jeg fikk en BTech i kjemiteknikk fra Indian Institute of Technology, Varanasi. Jeg tok en MS-grad fra Texas A&M University College Station, TX, USA. Jeg oppnådde en Ph.D. i anvendt matematikk fra Universitetet i Bergen, Norge. Jeg har forsket i beregningsmatematikk, vitenskapelig databehandling og branndynamikk. Jeg har jobbet ved oljeprosessanleggene. Jeg har jobbet ved HVL siden 2006.
I min nåværende forskning bruker jeg computational fluid dynamics og vitenskapelig databehandling for å løse problemer innen brannsikkerhetsvitenskap. Jeg liker å undervise. Jeg er interessert i forskningsbaserte undervisningsmetoder for å forbedre elevenes læring.
