Prosjektsamandrag
After years of intensive, innovative research, we have developed a disruptive solar thermal energy technology, the direct absorption solar collector (DASC). DASCs use dark fluids to capture solar heat and work efficiently even in rainy climates. This makes them ideal devices for warming air and water in private dwellings and cabins, business premises and public facilities, markets worth potential billions of NOK. Compared to standard solar technologies, our DASCs are simpler in design and more affordable to produce, yet they operate with equal or superior thermal efficiency. They use organic fluids that are not just safer for operators, but also more environmentally friendly. Now, the commercial potential of this proven technology needs to be maximized by answering the remaining technical questions and developing a commercialization strategy. By performing industry-scale, longer-term pilot seasonal tests, we can optimize the DASC materials to enhance operational performance and make the design and steering algorithms more ergonomic. For these major tests, we partnered with companies in Norway and abroad. They will provide vital feedback, revealing additional R&D questions our team can answer before product launch and certification. An essential part of the project includes commercial activities to clarify customer needs better, communicate with end users, calculate production costs, and logistics in the European energy market. We will actively disseminate our technology, participate in industrial conferences and meetings, and exhibit the product at the international solar fair. We will continue a fruitful dialogue with the potential investors. We expect to engage in the first investor agreement based on the project result. With these challenges resolved, the DASC technology will be ready for launch, ready to revolutionize the solar energy market, and ready to provide a superior green energy source for years to come.
