I forskargruppa "Berekrafige bygningsmiljø" jobbar vi med heilheitlege løysingar som integrerer økonomiske, miljømessige og sosiale aspekt for bygningar og bygningsmiljø gjennom livsløpet.
Vårt bygde miljø representerer enorme samfunnsverdiar. Samtidig står byggenæringa for ein høg andel av samfunnets ressursbruk, avfallsproduksjon, energibruk og klimagassutslipp. Når bygningsmiljøa er utforma etter berekraftsprinsippa legg dei grunnlag for god helse og livskvalitet, lågast mogeleg ressursbruk og god lønsemd for samfunn, næringsliv og privatpersonar.
