Arbeids- og kompetanseområde

I research the drivers and challenges that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) meet when pursuring cross-industry innovation in my PhD-project. In short, I study why smaller businneses want to move to a different industry, how they can go about the process of moving between different industries, and the outcome or value that they may gain from doing so. As such, doing cross-industry innovation can carry implications for SME's growth, resilience and sustainable positioning. Considering the almost normalcy of crises in today's society, insight into how existing firms and industries can prevail or be a part of sustainable solutions is central.

I have an academic background in physics and innovation studies, coupled with previous work experience as a field engineer in oil service (onshore and offshore).
