HVL Library Talks: The publishing process and publishing ethics
My text is getting ready for publication. How do I proceed? What do I need to prepare?
This talk takes you through the process of getting your research published and discusses various things that you need to consider as you go along: Where should I publish? What about Open Access? How do I prepare for the submission? What does peer review involve and how do I respond to it? And what if my article is rejected?
The talk also addresses issues related to publishing ethics: Why do I need to answer this question about “conflict of interests”? And what is meant by “salami slicing”?
This session is part of HVL library talks fall 2026, a series of talks and lectures offered by the library's Unit for research support.
