
Anvendt marin mikrobiologi
Forskningsgruppen innen anvendt marin mikrobiologi studerer ulike mikroorganismer i havet, slik som virus, bakterier og alger.
Vi jobber tidvis tett med lokalt næringsliv, for eksempel innen skipsfart, havbruk og vannrensing. Vi har tilgang til flotte laboratorielokaler i Haugesund, samt avansert utstyr for mikrobiologiske og bioteknologiske analyser.
Forskningsgruppen består hovedsakelig av medlemmer fra Institutt for sikkerhet, kjemi- og bioingeniørfag ved Fakultet for ingeniør og naturvitenskap. Vi har generell kompetanse innen mikrobiologi, bioteknologi, genteknologi, proteomikk og miljøvitenskap.
Vi kan også tilby veiledning av studenter i forskergruppen vår, fra bachelor til Phd-nivå.
