Exploring agency, positionality, and authenticity in educational research and praxis
HVL’s research groups Analyzing and Assessing Linguistic Multicompetence (AALM), Researching Teacher Education, Language and Literature (RETELL), and Discourses of Gender and Sexuality (DoGS) warmly invite to an international panel on “Exploring agency, positionality, and authenticity in educational research and praxis”.
The panel will open with impulse talks by three teacher researchers and educators from the US: Naitnaphit Limlamai (Colorado State University), Limarys Caraballo (Columbia University), and David Gerwin (Columbia University).
Drawing on their work in US and Norwegian contexts, they will discuss how agency, positionality, and authentic intellectual work shape their research and praxis with secondary students, secondary teachers, teachers-in-training, and teacher educators. These talks will be followed by a moderated discussion and exchange with the audience.
