Forskergruppen Culture – Criticism – Community samler forskere med en kritisk forskningsinteresse for kulturelle uttrykk, kulturell deltakelse, kunstfagdidaktikk, community arts og kunstmiljøer.
Stikkord for forskningen er: Kultur, kritikk, community, kontekst, mangfold, deltakelse, likhet, rettferdighet og demokrati.
Forskningsgruppen er tverrfaglig, tverrinstitusjonell og internasjonal. I tillegg til å fungere som forskningsfellesskap, vil forskningsgruppen være en paraply for eksisterende forskingsprosjekter og en inkubator for nye prosjekter og perspektiver.
Hovedformålet med gruppen er å stimulere til kritisk drøftinger, å utfordre eksisterende antakelser og dermed utvikle teoretisk og epistemologisk innsikt.
